Plan It Interactive Brazil Adventure Tours is the realization of a Dream. Danilo Roos da Rosa is a young Brazilian who spent his early twenties in Australia and the United States where he pursued his love of mountaineering. In Australia, he climbed, among others, Sydney and such National Parks as Blue Mountain, North Coast and Tablelands. In the U,S., he climbed Zion, Yosemite and Grand Canyon. All good parks, all good climbs. But something was missing--the luxuriant green of Brazil, the cascading waterfalls, the exotic flora and fauna. And, truth be told, he suffered saudades--nostalgia--for Brazil. For it's gentle samba and bossa nova, its sparkling beaches, its hearty churrasco-barbecue. In 2007, he returned home to Porto Alegre, in Brazil's southernmost state of Rio Grande do Sul.

He set out to find what information he could about climbing in Brazil. Well acquainted with Rio Grande's own spectacular sites, he looked further a field to Rio, Sao Paulo, Parana and Florianopolis. What he found was both hopeful and disappointing. On the good side Brazil positively abounded with opportunities to climb, to raft, to paraglide, to canyon, to engage in any extreme sport that exists. That was the good part, equal to anything he had experienced before and, to his mind, better given the natural beauty of the Rain Forest and fields. What was daunting was the absence of information--at least well organized information--about locations and logistics. If even a Brazilian found it hard, Danilo asked himself, how could a non-Brazilian cope. Danilo, looking to combine his love of sports with a business, resolved to establish a business which would allow non-Brazilians to get to these often little known locations with a minimum of fuss. He would do the logistics for them.

PIBATours is the result. Since its beginning, Danilo has continued to scout locations himself, and to find the best providers in these locations. He has created a network of providers through the Southern part of Brazil--Rio, Sao Paulo, Iguasu Falls, Florianopolis--a network of proven and competent business that can provide the guides and equipment needed so that the visitor to Brazil need only show up and climb or raft or paraglide or trek or...

The activities run the gamut--rappelling through waterfalls, climbs on unusual rock formations surround by deep, verdant green, paraglide over some of Brazil's most beautiful beaches. Trekking the Atlantic Rain Forest. Ascending the walls of Brazil's Grand Canyon--a grand canyon transformed by trees. PIBATours allows adventures to do it all, without having to do the nitty-gritty, time-consuming and chancy work of picking the right place and the right provider. PIBA has done that for you.

But awesome as they are, the activities are not the only thing that makes Brazil special, and Danilo recognized that from the outset. Brazil is also a different ecology, geology and culture. From the start, Danilo has worked to make sure that his clients experience these other aspects as well. Whether it is a visit to a Gaucho farm to enjoy a churrasco and horse-back riding, or a night out in Rio, a trek with a trained botanist, PIBA Tours can show you much of what Brazil offers. Much that won't appear in travel guides. Much, indeed, which local's themselves don't know. Danilo has done the work, now you can do the vacation.
